What size TV will fit on a daals TV unit?
Depends which one. The rule of thumb is the unit should be wider than the TV, ideally 10-20% wider for a balanced look.
For most standard living rooms, a 120cm unit handles TVs up to around 50 inches. 140-150cm units sit comfortably under a 55-inch screen. Got a 65-inch or bigger? You'll want 160cm or 200cm.
Measure your TV before you order. Sounds obvious. You'd be surprised.
How long does assembly really take?
Honest answer: longer than you think. Most of our TV units are flat packed and self assembly. While some go together in under an hour, larger units (160cm+) typically take 2–3 hours, and some customers find it easier with a second pair of hands.
Worth blocking out an afternoon rather than squeezing it into a half hour gap before the football starts.
Do I need two people to assemble it?
For most units, one person can manage. For the wider designs (160cm and up), and especially when fitting back panels or aligning doors, a second person makes life considerably easier. Doable solo if you're patient, but much faster with help.
Which TV unit has the best cable management?
Most of ours have it built in, but a few stand out. The Richmond Ridged has a proper cable aperture in the back of the open shelf. The Brooklyn has two dedicated cable management slots behind its open shelves. The Frances rattan units have cable holes on the back and — handy this — the rattan fronts are backed with panels, so dust doesn't drift through into your storage.
Cable chaos is the thing that ruins a good TV setup. Worth checking the spec before you buy.
Will the colour look like the photos?
Mostly, yes, but lighting in your room will affect how a finish reads. Wood effect and natural oak finishes can lean warmer (more golden or amber) in person than they appear on a bright product photo. Painted finishes like sage green, stormy blue or wild cherry are more reliable but can shift slightly with the light.
If colour matching is critical, order one piece first before committing to a whole range.
What's the difference between the Frances and Izzy rattan units?
Both are handwoven rattan. Both bring warmth and texture. But they're different pieces. The Frances is the bigger, more structured one, with straight lines, drawers and open shelves, available in 160cm or 200cm. Good for a lot of kit.
The Izzy is softer. Curved rattan panels, rounded edges, cupboards plus a central shelf and drawer. The one for rooms where nothing else has a hard corner. Rattan obsessed households can't really go wrong either way.
