There's something about an egg chair. You walk past one and you know exactly what you'd do given five minutes alone with it. Sink in, ignore the world, finish the chapter. They've quietly become the bit of garden furniture (or conservatory furniture, or "I've put it by the patio doors and now nobody else gets a turn" furniture) that everyone secretly wants.
Our range covers single hanging chairs, generously sized doubles for two, a curved retro style cocoon loveseat, and a freestanding swivel cocoon for anyone who'd rather skip the frame. Woven rattan, faux rattan and rope, geometric weaves, classic cocoon shapes. Available in natural, light grey, dark grey and black.
All built on powder coated steel frames with weather resistant weaves and deep fill cushions. Made for outside, but happy in a conservatory or living room when you'd rather not commit to the British weather.

Egg Chair Questions
Single or double: which should I get?
Depends on whether you fancy company.
Singles are sized for one. The proper personal lounging spot. Smaller footprint, easier to fit, lower price. The Azura, Indra, Lydia and Harrington Single all live here.
Doubles are wider cocoons that fit two side by side, or one person sprawling with no objections from anyone. The Deneb, Maren and Harrington Double are hanging doubles. The Stratford is a freestanding cocoon loveseat if you'd rather not have a frame.
Honest answer? Plenty of people buy a single and end up wanting a double once the kids or the dog work out it exists. Get the size that suits the space, not the size that suits the politest version of your household.
Hanging or freestanding: which one?
Most of our range hangs. The chair suspends from a powder coated steel frame. Gentle sway, more of a statement piece, no ceiling drilling required.
Two of ours are freestanding. The Nerida swivel cocoon spins gently and has levelling feet for uneven ground. The Stratford loveseat sits low on a curved frame. Lower visual weight, better for tight ceiling spaces, easier to shuffle around.
Want the swing? Go hanging. Want something simpler and more compact? Freestanding.
What's the difference between rattan and rattan & rope?
The classic rattan effect chairs use hand woven faux rattan weaves over the steel frame. The look most people picture when they hear "egg chair".
The rattan & rope versions (the Harrington and Lydia) mix rattan with rope wrapped around the frame for more texture and a more contemporary feel. The Lydia goes a step further with a geometric pattern in the weave.
Both are durable and weather resistant. Pick the one that suits the room, not the climate.
Can I use them indoors?
Yes. Conservatories, sunrooms, big living rooms with a quiet corner. The cushion covers are washable and the weaves are built for outdoor weather, so a bit of indoor life won't bother them.
Just check the ceiling height first. Hanging chairs are tall. Most need around 200cm of clearance to swing properly. The freestanding cocoons are more forgiving in lower ceilinged rooms.
Are they actually comfortable?
Honest answer: yes, surprisingly so. The cocoon shape supports your back and sides at the same time, which is half the trick. Deep fill cushions do the rest.
How much space do I need?
Hanging chairs need clearance around all sides for the swing. Singles are usually around 100-110cm wide and 200cm+ tall. Doubles are wider, around 140-150cm. Check the dimensions on the product page before you order, especially the height.
Freestanding cocoons are more compact and easier to slot into a corner.
Measure first. An egg chair you can't actually swing in is just an awkward basket.
