The detailing has been achieved using Crewel embroidery, also known as crewelwork, which is a surface embroidery technique that uses thick wool yarn and a variety of stitches to create a colourful, textured design, all of which really sets this cushion apart.
The cotton slub base has uneven knots and bumps, which are a true characteristic of natural fibres, that results in uneven and thicker raised threads on the fabric's surface.
